All Good Things in 2013

 

Happy new year!  Our sweet little girl turns 17 months next week. Hard to believe. One thing I know for sure...she is the most joyful person I know. Here are some updates on IJD:

 Santa Claus was an absolute hit this past holiday season. Count her in for loving jolly 'ole Saint Nick. She said "hi Santa" and "bye Santa" every chance she got. Even to statues. In fact, she says "hi" and "bye" to everyone. She does not know a stranger.

 



 She is completely aware of what makes us giggle. Izzy, you will blink your eyes, put on your shades, put on daddy's glasses, or fake cough. All to get a chuckle out of your "audience."

 Speaking of audience...you are a little performer. You love to sing and dance. Anything to be on a "stage." you will lay books down on the floor and use their hard covers for "tapping." You continually dance when music is played!

 "Dada", "mama", and "dog" are your go-to words. However, you say "nay" for horses, "choo-choo" when you hear a train, and know where your eyes, nose, ears, and toes are. Then you say "yeah" and clap your hands once you've revealed all your tricks.

 You are the BEST sleeper. Down by 8:30 p.m. and you won't wake up until 7:00 a.m. You take about a 1 hour nap in the afternoon. You are in size 4 diapers and 18 month clothes. You love mac and cheese. And you can't live without chocolate milk (just like your mom).

 At Christmas Tingie and Grandpa Bob got your first luggage and a huge chair for you to read in. It's just your size. Nana and Papa got you a dog that barks and wags its tail. You love all your new gifts and are really starting to love books! You have code words for which one you want to read. "Wee" is the Franklin book, "Shhhh" is the bunny book.

 You are literally the funniest and sweetest girl we know. You like to RUN everywhere you go! Walking is so 2012!

We are thankful each day for you. We pray for your continued health and happiness. I don't know what I did to deserve you...but am thankful I get to be your mommy! "Happy those who love you, happy those who follow you, happy those who seek you oh God."
