Twinkle Twinkle

One of Miss Izzy's favorite songs is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." No matter if we are taking a bath or changing her diaper, she loves that song.

Mommy also sings "Starlight Express" and "Sunday Afternoon" and "Music of the Night" from Andrew Lloyd Weber. I can tell she is going to be a singer or dancer since you love music so much!

Miss IJD had too much fun watching Tingie and mom cook for Thanksgiving dinner!

Just Like My Mom

Izzy J, you might look just like your father, but you act just like your mom. One example of this is...you love to sleep in the car. Even if we are running a quick errand to Target, chances are...you will fall fast asleep on the way there and then headed home. I have been able to capture these moments a few times. Sleep tight!

Turkey Day



Izzy, your first Thanksgiving was a special one. We went to Clinton with Caitlin on Tuesday afternoon. We were able to spend time with Tingie, Grandpa Bob, The Rother's, and Uncle Doug and Aunt Sara. Your dad and Bernie met us just in time for a bubbly to celebrate the day. Tingie and I started cooking early on Wednesday morning. We had such a great time helping in the kitchen. You loved being held by all our family. We took your under the sea and some other favorites to help keep you entertained.

There was a fire not too far from our Springhill home on Wednesday night, but they put it out before we had to evacuate. If that wasn't drama enough, there was a small electrical fire in the office while you were eating with mommy. Don't worry! No one was hurt, but it added to the fun stories 2011 had in store. Uncle Mike and Grandpa joined us for a yummy feast at 2:30 p.m. You are excited to join us at the table next year!

Happy Thanksgiving Iz! We are so thankful for you! 

Gobble Gobble...I'm 3 months old

 

Sweet Izzy...you are 3 months old! These pictures say it all. You are the most joyful happy baby I've ever met. All you do is smile, laugh, and talk. You absolutely love your under the sea adventure toy. You will sit under there for 30 minutes chatting away with Mr. Octopus. 

You are still such a great eater and sleeper. In the morning once you get up after sleeping through the night, you eat and then lay right back down for your morning nap. It tends to last 2 to 3 hours. Then you are up and ready for the day. 

You are still in size 1 diapers but once I use the 2 packages I have left...we will move you right on to 2's. You are still in 0-3 month clothes...but guess what? Mommy is moving you to 3-6 months just in time for Thanksgiving. Tingie and Grandpa Bob bought you all these new precious pajamas that are perfect for your first Christmas. 

You love when we tell you stories and sing to you. And guess who is your new pal? Bernie! You are finally starting to take notice in him. 

We go on lots of road trips to Clinton, Edmond, and Piedmont to see all your favorite people. 

We love you Izzy Bell! You are without a doubt the light of our lives. I pray that each day with you continues to get better and better. We are so blessed by your health, strength, and laughter. God is good!
